I’ll have more to post soon, as I’ve borrowed a waterproof digital camera. We’re taking some swimming lessons on Saturdays.

Happy New Year, everybody!
Grandma Jaye & Bapa Spencer were in town for Christmas this year. Mila got interested in the Santa myth for the first time, and figured that since she was good he’d deliver on her wish of blue and red candy. He did, and more! Thanks, big guy. She also enjoyed all the lights on the houses, the wreaths, and Christmas music. She got to make a gingerbread house, too!
This is a crazy week for MQ every year because within the span of six days, she celebrates her birthday, Bapa Spencer’s birthday, and Christmas. It’s like one long, huge birthday. This year, we had her birthday party at our favorite place, the Blue Mountain Brewery. Mila’s been going there since she was a month old, and (obviously) it offers something nice for the parents as well.
The day after the party was her real birthday, number three! Kinda hard for her daddy to believe. She seems so much older sometimes.
Mila had a half day today, the last school day of the year! She’s been coming home and singing large sections of Christmas carols all week, and today the kids got to show their stuff. Here they are singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
Mila also showed me her awesome classroom, followed by her “human top” impersonation on the spinny things out on the playground.
